Yea, good article. Working in a gift shop this summer has really opened my eyes. Every day hundreds of people come through my line, buying thousands of dollars worth of cheap, useless crap–that undoubtly will be thrown away/broken within 6 months. I have people buying ugly ceramic bears for people who don’t even want them, who’ve never even cared to see a bear–they tell me this–but they feel complelled to bring something home for each and every person they know. And don’t even get me started on the Spin-a-mallows…I’m scarred from soveigners, for life.

Great Article, Im a material girl in a material world!!
I have way way way tooo much stuff also, one of my problems is my inability to throw things away… and tooo busy to find people or places to take my un-needed stuff… so therefore it collects…
