Stormy climbed into my lap, purring already, and looked up at me, adoring me for stroking her head, making me feel special.
Stormy was a loving and talkative cat. That’s how I knew her. She wanted to be paid attention to and she let you know she was there. I was told that she didn’t like everybody she met though, and so I felt like I was part of the family when she let me pick her up and hold her. This is how I knew her.
I have heard that Stormy was not always so obliging. I have heard tales of her greatness, of her independence. She was a great hunter in her prime, known for her stealth. She would share the wealth of her hunt with the neighbourhood, leaving tokens on doorsteps all along the street. Everybody knew when Stormy, and her sister, Cloudy, had had a good days hunt.
She was a loyal cat. When I met Rhett, he introduced me to “his girl” Stormy. I knew she was special and loved by her family immediately. She will be greatly missed by Rhett and all of the Soverans. I will miss Stormy.
She was a good friend.
