There are currently 1452 small, bite-sized posts floating around in my head—I counted them. I am a good counter. One time I counted to a million. I think you can tell where this post is heading. First things first, I want to start with my brand new t-shirts and that funny banner on the side of the page. No, no, second things first, I am having a birthday party June 28 – July 2 at Cypress Hills (SK). I totally fluked out and got a group campground and I need to fill it. I have plenty of space. Please come. I spent most of last night (except I fell asleep) calling everyone I had phone numbers for. I know this seems impersonal, but if you know me then I want you to come. Poets this means you! Let me know.
Confirmed attenders:
- My parents
- My sister & Tim
- Robert Leblanc and his party van of girls
- Curtis – I am pretty sure he’s in, but I haven’t actually confirmed. I am sure Rob will let you in his party van.
In Limbo:
- Travis, Mike, Neil, AP, Jayden – all are verifying time-off, things are looking good
Still to confirm:
- You!
Okay, back to first things first. A couple of weeks ago I found an amazing site through StumbleUpon called Uneetee.com. This is a really unique idea that I have not seen anywhere else on the internet. It invites artists from anywhere to submit a design and if it is chosen they will make t-shirts with your design and then sell them, plus you get a chunk of commission for it. Now, if you aren’t already excited, let me tell you more. I didn’t want to tell you anything until I was sure that they were good quality t-shirts. I ordered two, I took pictures of myself but I haven’t uploaded them yet. Here’s two stock photos of the shirts I got:
They are good quality shirts and totally cool. I always like having unique and fun shirts and now I and you can. I have also signed up to be an “Affiliate” so if you click the link to Uneetee from my site and buy a shirt then I will get like $2 or something. I figured it would be a good way so that I can buy more shirts. That’s why there is a little banner on my sidebar. I am not telling you to go buy shirts because I want money, but because I think they are deadly. There’s a new shirt everyday and they only keep them until they are sold out. If you see something you like make sure you grab it before it’s gone.
I know most of you probably don’t care about Matthew Good and even though I try not to care about Matthew good I can’t help it. I love his music and I hate it. Some of it is so fantastic and other stuff I can barely stand listening to. Frankly, I am so invested that I just can’t pull myself out no matter what. I think I was probably well on my way to distancing myself two years ago but then I saw him do a live, acoustic show and he played Prime Time Deliverance and it was all over for me.
Through the last year he has gone through a lot, including a divorce, which I am happy to say, from what I have heard, seems to have pushed his writing to a new level. The new single, which you can hear on his site, has many little gems in it.
she could never say that flat out she don’t want me
cause I could never say that half way ain’t enough
Conclusion
I’m really looking forward to this disc. I am really looking forward to buying more shirts from Uneetee.com, and—most of all—I am looking forward to hearing from you and finding out that you are coming to my party.
I go to Rockstar Poet for all my Matthew Good news. I’m a big fan of his too. Some of his songs would make good poems (that I wish I wrote).
