I have had the opportunity, through Epiblogger, to meet many new and interesting people. Even British people. I know, I know, I swore I would never get involved with the Brits, but I have. One such fellow is Kevin Rapley from Birmingham. Through Kevin I was introduced to Mark Steadman who runs the podcast New Media Junkie. I have never really understood the fascination with podcasts. Maybe the English believe they have surpassed the radio or maybe the BBC isn’t good enough for them, but they must love podcasts over there. That’s the best I can figure.
In any case, the New Media Junkie is surprisingly funny if you like witty, bar-stool humour—which I do. I have been in contact with these guys for a number of reasons, but one such reason landed me on their episode this week. I complained that I couldn’t understand them through their horrid accents and that they needed to speak slower.

Error opening the file…???
I sort of hacked it to get it to work. You will need to go to the New Media Junkie site to hear it I guess.
Edit: Fixed it.
Horrid! Horrid! Shocked and saddened. I am actually from Irish descent with my parents hailing from the Emerald Isle. Does this change your perception of me? Nah, probably worsens!
My wife would probably love you Kev. She goes a tad wonky when Ireland is concerned. I italicized horrid so that you would know that I was joking. You have a very lovely speaking voice. A bit high pitched for a man though, don’t you think?
Truth be told, I am a bit Welsh—on my mothers side, I believe.
