Did anyone ever watch My Pet Monster? Well, I don’t have a monster, but I do have a huge ass canker sore.
Last week was a close relative to death. It was a really terrible week. I have never felt more stress in my life. We had put in an offer on a place, but it didn’t go through. There was also some other housing drama and so by yesterday I was completely spent.
Well, before last week, I always believed that canker sores came from eating too much sugar. At least, that’s what my mom always told me. I think it has more to do with the fact it hurts to eat sugar when you have a canker sore. Studies have shown that 4/5 scientists believe canker sores are caused by stress. 5/5 scientists believe that I am beyond awesome on a scale of suck to awesome. In any case, it would seem that the size of the canker sore is directly related to the amount of stress… because I have the biggest canker sore ever. Check it out.

Rhett – this is your mother speaking! This is one of your most disgusting posts – well especially the photos. I feel sick that I actually wanted to see if you were exagerating … but now that I’ve stopped wretching I can see that you aren’t exagerating.
I’m still right – you got this canker sore right after Easter. I bet you had extra treats and sweets over this past while – more than usual. Christmas & Easter are always high canker sore seasons. Stop listening to professionals – your mother knows best…always!
And stop inferring to people that I’m not the most intelligent person you know.

Frankly, I’m just surprised it took me this long to think of.
You ain’t got nothin’. You should see the monstrosity in Ian’s mouth. He’s had this awful cyst for almost 3 months now, and it’s a huge disgusting ball of puss. It’s so gross that if he happens to post it on his blog, your silly little canker sore will feel petite and pretty in comparison.
(That’s right, the importance of taking credit.)

I’m not planning on posting any pictures of my cyst on my blog. That would disturb people way too much. I may post about my minor surgery coming up to get it removed, though, we’ll have to see.
Ian you should definitely get Jana to do a photographic essay on the whole procedure.
