I briefly listened to hardcore music when I was younger—when I wasn’t listening to sad bastard music and crying in my soup. I could never handle heavy metal or screamcore-stuff. But Deftones, TOOL/Perfect Circle and (early) Incubus always got my head banging. Even though I predominantly listen to rap these days, this still sounds pretty good to me. Their new album drops November 12.
