I’m not sure where I saw this posted first, but I finally watched it and this is amazing. It makes me feel very fond of the films made this year (even the bad ones) and towards film in general. Take a few minutes and watch. It’s definitely worth you time (which is why I’m posting it). There’s something like 270 movies in this video. Crazy town.

Movember Finale: The Big Shave
I recorded this first thing this morning, so I’m pretty groggy. If you make it through the entire video I’ll be impressed. But as you donated, you deserve to see the shave off.
I also want to apologize for not following through with my promise to create a video after I reached $350. As none of you know, the last two weeks have been pretty rough for me personally and I was a little overwhelmed with everything going on. I hate not following through with a promise. I hope you can forgive me. Perhaps this video will make up for some of that.
Finally, I really want to thank all of you who supported me either by cash or sharing my goal to reach $500 or both. It was great to have your support and be able to reach my goal. It’s a great feeling. The final tally is $525.
Crows vs Cat vs Cat vs Crow Streetfight BEGIN!
The whole video I just want the two cats to gang up on those bloody crows, but they are too arrogant. Stupid arrogant cats.

Movember Video Update: Wolverine Powers!
As promised, here is the moustache-related video. I reached (and over-reached) my $50 goal and I’ve now raised $250. So thank you! But don’t stop donating. My new goal is to reach $500 and I’ll make my next video when I reach $350.
The sun is shining bright through my window so I had to sit really close to the camera. I hope you enjoy me in your personal space.
And without further ado, here are some thoughts (recorded in 720p HD video) on my moustache and possibly what will happen by the end of the month when it’s fully grown.
The McGurk Effect
Generally, I do my best not to steal everything amazing that Tyler finds because you should just be following his blog (Pop Loser) for yourself. But, once and a while, he finds something so cool that I just have to post it. Everyone must see this video and I’m doing my part.
I present to you the McGurk Effect.
Abandoned Six Flags
Six Flags New Orleans was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. It has been abandoned ever since. This film was made in October 2010. The park is scheduled to be demolished in January 2011.
The great thing about not having a sidebar is nice, big video.
There have been a lot of interesting photography and video done since both the recession and recent natural disasters of places that would’ve—in it’s prime—saw a lot of visitors. I recently saw a great set of photos on abandoned malls in America and last year there was a great set of abandoned homes/blocks/neighbourhoods in Detroit. This is another great example from Six Flags in New Orleans, albeit extra spooky with that music in the background.
I’ve become increasingly interested in urban exploration, especially around the decay of structures. Don’t tell my parents, but we used to go exploring in Saskatchewan and, I think specifically, to an old cement factory just outside Regina back when I was younger. And at least a couple times, we made our way onto roofs of old buildings downtown. The things left behind were always interesting.
Anyone up for a little exploration in Calgary?
