I honestly didn’t want to be one of those owners who constantly shared videos and pictures of their pets with you, but that’s just who I am so you’ll all have to deal with that. Also, it’s hard to be mad or upset about this snow storm in spring when your dog loves the snow. So cute.
Audio & Video
Actor Taichi Saotome Fighting Shadows
Generally, I don’t post videos with more than a million views (or that’s the guideline I follow) so as to not bother you with things you’ve already seen, but this video is so cool that I’m going to risk it.
I think saying “fighting shadows” is a little minimizing and misleading, because this is a real multimedia experience and a pretty epic sword fight.

Birders, What’s Going On Here?
Leah captured some really interesting video today of some Bohemian Waxwings (updated) swarming our crab apple tree for a tasty rotten crab apple snack.
I’m posting this for three reasons:
- We’ve had some interesting bird experiences in our yard and I’m wondering if anyone can help name this flock?
- You get to hear Leah swear a lot. I like this because Leah almost never swears, so when I heard this video I was killing myself with laughter. I’m almost always the one who gets in trouble for being a little too profane.
- You also get to see Elly totally mesmerized by the birds and it’s really cute. She’s my little princess.
Oh, and if you don’t feel like watching the entire video just skip to near the end to see just how many bird there actually were.
Longboarding the Andes
For some reason, I have a fair number of friends who longboard. This is strange to me because longboarding looks terrifying and thus these “friends” are most likely unbalanced. Actually, I know they are. But that also makes them pretty great.
The longboarders in this video decided that they should skate the Andes, which—like me—you hopefully think is crazy (unless you’re a longboarder and then you probably think this is amazing). One way or another, I think you should watch this video. This is the perfect example of seeing something that few others could see and then doing it. And then producing it.

Kevin Smith Speaks
This is everywhere today and I don’t like everything that Kevin Smith says, but I like most of it. And if you’re interested in movies, you need to watch this.
How to be alone
I saw this video quite a while ago (because I’m super slick), but Tyler posted it today saying that he went to school with Tanya Davis who made this video. So now that I feel like there only a few degrees of separation I thought it was a good time to post a video that focuses on learning how to be alone.
