We sang at at the Scout camp I went to as a kid. After the 1st or 2nd day, people would no longer have announcements, they'd have "some important things to mention." And then there would always be one obnoxious kid who tried to get everyone to sing the song anyway, expect that he'd replace "announcements" with "things." No one would ever join in.
